The Occupy movement resurfaces with the launch of the After Party in Detroit this weekend. We get details from Carl Gibson of the national steering committee.The corporate alliance with Democrats that started under Bill Clinton has created a major opening for a new, populist political party. Gibson, an activist and journalist, explains the origins of this new party in the Occupy movement, and argues that when the cops broke up Occupy camps, they pushed thousands of organizers into their communities.
