Libyan activist Akram Ramadan talks to us from Heathrow Airport as he prepares to return from exile. In this brief, time-sensitive interview, he predicts Qaddafi’s death (“like Hitler”) and offers a most optimistic view of a free Libya. Ramadan, who is a volunteer broadcaster, hopes to help build independent media in Libya. He dismisses the generals and diplomats who are bailing out on Qaddafi as “leeches” who are 42 years too late in their conversion. His is flying to Cairo and will travel by ground to Libya, and he is invited to update us when he can connect from Libya in the near future.
