A native 'Sandlapper', I somehow managed to escape the 'Asylum' as an adult and fled all the way to the Tar Heel State, where one could experience the progressive politics of Jesse Helms and Virginia Foxx. Times are achanging, though, and blacks can now be seen frequenting Myrtle Beach and other posh resorts in the state. It was in SC, however, that the tide really turned for Barack Obama (thanks in no small part to carpetbagger activity from Bill Clinton). There are some progressive thinkers there, albeit few. They could really benefit from some PBC podcasts, as this is indeed the land of Limbaugh and Beck on the airwaves. Do hope you get to visit and feel the 'love' sometime soon.
